Your Photo Shoot is Very Important.

Here are a few tips and hints to help make the day a success!

DO wear plain colors. Bold prints, writing and stripes take the focus away from your face.
If you are fair-skinned, stay away from white, as it washes out your skin tone.

DO coordinate with others in your group.
Consider going bare-foot in some shots.

DO bring props. If you have something special you’d like to be photographed with , (ex. Instrument, toy, blankie, pet, etc.)
arrangements can be made with your photographer.

DO be patient. Photos take time- especially with groups- and if you feel impatient,
your face will show that in your pictures.

Be open-minded about children’s photos. Some of the best shots are of kids just being themselves.
Posed shots are great, but their personalities shine through when you step back and let them explore.

Schedule children’s photo sessions right after naps or lunch. Think about when the best time of day
is for them and they will be more cooperative.

Try location shoots. Adults, and especially kids, are more comfortable outside. Parks, playgrounds,
and even the backyard are great places for photos.
